7R is embarking on the development of a huge (230,000 sqm) technological and production hub in Nowa Huta. The initial phase, involving soil remediation, is underway, with construction expected to commence later this year.
Located within the “Ruszcza” Logistics and Industrial Center, an integral part of the “Kraków Nowa Huta Przyszłości” initiative, the hub will feature three buildings offering a total of 230,000 sqm of technological and production space. This development will utilise the low-emission 7R Green Saver warehouse line
"This investment is tailored for clients interested in highly advanced production. The hub will also accommodate smaller companies, particularly local entrepreneurs, ultimately forming a cluster that fosters the simultaneous development of various industries", explains Michał Białas, Co-CEO of 7R
"As the economy evolves and specialises, we have a tremendous chance to draw investors from around the globe. These investors will see us not merely as an affordable subcontractor but as partners for investing in and developing new, advanced projects. However, they require adequate space, including in Kraków", states Tomasz Lubowiecki, Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of 7R
This investment also supports the city’s vision of redefining Nowa Huta, historically associated with heavy industry. The project includes revitalizing the area and planting over 2,000 new trees, featuring biocoenotic species that enhance habitat development. Natural depressions will be transformed into rain gardens to store and filter water, thereby improving soil quality and surrounding vegetation.
"We aim to revitalize this area by reclaiming green spaces, afforesting approximately 10 hectares, and creating rain gardens, all while responsibly managing the land", confirms Tomasz Lubowiecki.
The developer has initiated the project with the remediation of contaminated soil, leveraging experience from previous projects in Silesia. The site has been thoroughly examined, and all necessary permits have been secured. Construction is scheduled to start later this year.
