The European hospitality industry is bracing for shifts in transatlantic travel dynamics, as declining U.S. visitor flows threaten key tourism markets, according to Colliers’ latest EMEA Hospitality report.

Olala! is strengthening its strategic expansion in the Romanian market with the acquisition of two hotels located in central Bucharest – Hotel Duke Romană and Hotel Duke Armenească – in a €5 million transaction.

Czech-founded real estate developer Lordship has received an important decision for the Hotel Kyjev, which has been an integral part of the centre of Bratislava since 1973, reports Yimba.sk. 

The iconic 1967-built Hotel Budapest — locally known as Körszálló (meaning 'circle hotel') — has officially received demolition and construction permits for a near-complete rebuild. Most of the cylindrical tower and interior will be taken down and reconstructed to house around 50 luxury apartments, along with wellness facilities, restaurants, offices, and public amenities, 24.hu reports.

Tribe, part of the Accor hospitality group, opened in mid-May its second hotel in Hungary, near the Budapest airport.

Construction work is underway on the 5-star Mearl Hotel in Kołobrzeg on the Polish Baltic coast. The hotel, which is being built right on the beach, will be one of the most luxurious offerings in Pomerania, with 369 high-standard rooms, a spa centre and a range of premium solutions such as a designer club, a cigar smoking room and a sky bar overlooking the sea. The planned opening date is mid-2026.

Radisson Hotel Group has announced a raft of new developments in Romania, as it sees the country as a pivotal market for growth. 

Construction of the Emonika complex in Ljubljana has entered its next phase, marked by a groundbreaking ceremony hosted by OTP Group at the project site. As Slovenia’s largest real estate development, the complex is scheduled for completion by the end of 2027. Property Forum was on site to report from the ceremony.
