Hospitality company IHG Hotels & Resorts has marked the launch of its lifestyle brand in Romania through the singing of the Hotel Indigo Satu Mare. The new hotel will open in 2025 and will join IHG’s network in Romania which includes Intercontinental Athénée Palace Bucharest, Crowne Plaza Bucharest, and Holiday Inn Bucharest-Times. 

Moxy Belgrade has arrived in Serbia’s capital city. The 131-guestroom hotel is located in the city centre, nestled in the corner of Njegoseva Street which sits within one of the oldest cultural neighbourhoods of Belgrade. The property is located just a few minutes walk from Slavija, one of the biggest and most famous city squares.

Hungarian property developer and investor Indotek Group currently owns real estate in Hungary and eight foreign countries and is actively screening opportunities in five others. The portfolio consists of office, retail, hotel and industrial properties. Barceló Hotel Group has opened Barceló Warsaw Powiśle, a 4-star hotel with 151 rooms and suites at the Elektrownia Powiśle complex in Warsaw.

Four Points by Sheraton Budapest Danube Hotel has opened in the Hungarian capital. The new 105-room hotel is situated on the banks of the river in the centre of the city and is managed by the Hungarian company Accent Hotels.

Hungarian property investor and developer Indotek Group has been granted permission from the Croatian authorities to buy the Jelsa Resort, a huge hotel complex on Hvar Island. The complex offers 1,400 rooms but needs to be refurbished, vg.hu reports.

The Le Meridian brand will offer 102 rooms and is scheduled to be open in 2025, telex. hu reports. This will be Marriott's first Hungarian hotel outside Budapest.

The occupancy of Bucharest hotels increased by 33% in the first quarter compared with the same period of last year, and remains about 5% below the 2019 level, according to a report by Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the opening of Secrets Sunny Beach Resort & Spa, Dreams Sunny Beach Resort & Spa, AluaSun Helios Beach and Alua Helios Bay, representing the entry of the Inclusive Collection, part of World of Hyatt, into a third European country, complementing the existing presence of Hyatt’s all-inclusive resort brands in Spain and Greece.
