Przemysław Orchowicz, Country Manager, Heimstaden Poland has talked to Property Forum about the current forecasts for the PRS market, overregulation risk and investment plans.
Heimstaden has introduced 284 new, fully equipped apartments to the Warsaw rental market, as part of the second stage of the Bokserska project. The first tenants will move in March of 2023.
Heimstaden has offered the Czech government 500 apartments for Ukrainian families. At the same time, the company is trying to equip the flats, which can accommodate up to 2,000 people, with furniture. At the same time, it is also trying to take care of the families of its Ukrainian employees, the company announced in response to the current war situation in Ukraine.
Heimstaden continues to invest in its portfolio in the Czech Republic. This year it will spend almost two and a half billion crowns on thermal insulation, new projects and repairs, the company announced.
Leach & McGuire have signed an agreement to start work on two buildings that Heimstaden purchased in Warsaw earlier in 2021 from Marvipol, specifically ‘Unique Tower’ on ul. Grzybowska comprising 136 apartments and ‘Moko’ (Botanika) on ul. Bokserska featuring 477 residential units.

Swedish company Heimstaden is entering the Prague rental market. It has acquired the first 164 units under construction in Prague's Holešovice district as part of the Pergamenka project from developer FINEP.

Homepark Janki is expanding its offer with a new shop selling electric bikes by Engwe. The brand's first Polish showroom has taken up an area of 108 sqm.
New appointments
Karol Czupryński has joined the management board of Empik. He will take the position of Chief Commercial Officer. Czupryński has previously worked at Allegro, Procter & Gamble and Boston Consulting Group, among others.
Marcin Grabara officially takes over the reins at Rossmann SDP sp z.o.o. from 24 May. He will replace Marek Maruszak as president, who is retiring after 24 years with the company.
CPI Property Group, is expanding the Warsaw structures of its Leasing Office department. Maciej Skubiszewski has been named the new Senior Leasing Manager. he will be responsible for the implementation of the leasing strategy as well as the commercialization and re-commercialization of space in office buildings in CPIPG's portfolio - Central Tower, Concept Tower and Chałubińskiego 8 (CH8).
