SK5 Logimac plans €30 million logistics park in Bratislava

A logistics complex is to be built in Bratislava's Petržalka district, which will create jobs for approximately 623 employees. This follows from the plan called Garbe Park Bratislava City, which the investor - the company SK5 Logimac - has submitted for environmental impact assessment (EIA). The estimated investment costs are approximately €30 million, writes the news portal of the Press Agency of the Slovak Republic TERAZ.SK.

Garbe secures new 18,000 sqm lease in Slovakia

Garbe Industrial Real Estate CEE has signed a lease agreement comprising 18,000 sqm with GPV, an electronics manufacturing services partner. GPV will occupy the entire building in the Garbe Green Park Piešťany. The building is currently under construction and will be finished this month. Adjustments related to the customer’s operation will be completed by the end of the year. This park that is located 80 kilometres from Bratislava will be fully let and developed.

Progresus and Halcyon to build a €30 million hall with Garbe

The investment groups Progresus and Halcyon have entered a strategic collaboration with the German firm GARBE Industrial Real Estate CEE. The first joint project will be the construction of an industrial hall in the Czech town of Klášterec nad Ohří covering 20,815 square metres of floorspace and valued at approximately €30 million.

Union Investment acquires logistics property in Poland

Union Investment has acquired a new logistics building in the Polish town of Września, around 50 km east of Poznań. The acquisition will be added to the holdings of institutional fund UII Garbe Logistik Fonds. The seller is Netherlands-based online retailer vidaXL. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Garbe records skyrocketing logistics rents across Europe

Demand for logistics real estate is not slowing in Europe, driving significant upward price growth. This development is further fuelled by increased construction and financing costs in the new-build segment. Overall, 70% of the examined European markets registered substantial growth since the end of the second half of 2021, whereas 30% saw no change in rent levels. The remarkable thing is that no region reported negative rental growth. These are some of the findings Garbe Research presented in its latest Garbe Pyramid Map, the 2022 mid-year update of the company’s yield and rent map for the 122 most important logistics real estate submarkets in 23 European countries.

New leases

  • ELI Parks has signed a lease agreement with Litera Group for a 3,087 sqm space within ELI Park 3, near Bucharest.
  • International luxury brand Rituals is joining the IULIUS retail network. This autumn, it will open new stores in the mixed-use developments Iulius Town Timișoara and Palas Iași, as well as in Iulius Mall Cluj.
  • Stay Fit Gym has leased approximately 1,000 sqm for a new fitness centre, which will open in the Family Market Tomești retail park, developed by Iulius in the Iași region.

New appointments

  • From mid-October, László Csapó will take up the position of Director of Business Development at Danubius Hotels Zrt. He succeeds Andrea Róna, who had held the position since 2022.
  • Cushman & Wakefield Echinox has named Gabriel Vințe as Business Development Manager within the Project & Development Services (PDS) department. He will also oversee the business line dedicated to sustainability services. Vințe has over 21 years of experience gained in renowned companies across sectors such as financial services, retail, residential, and consultancy.
  • Cushman & Wakefield has strengthened its Warsaw-based Capital Markets team, led by Paweł Partyka, with the appointments of Jakub Grabara and Natalia Wołyniec. The new hires will support the company in delivering transactional advisory services across the commercial property market.
