Industrial project deals in Romania double in Q1
The industrial and logistics market in Romania recorded leasing deals for around 200,000 sqm in the first quarter of 2021, a volume that is double compared to the same period of 2020, according to a report by real estate consultancy firm Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.

Retailer eMAG to invest €1.5 million in HQ revamp
Online retailer eMAG will invest €1.5 million in upgrading its HQ building to accommodate the hybrid work system as it aims to make the program permanent for more than 3,000 employees. The HQ will be transformed into a collaborative workspace and will be fitted with technology systems that support the mix of office and remote work.

eMAG to open new industrial park near Bucharest this summer
eMAG announces that in the summer of this year, an area of 100,000 sqm will be put into use from the industrial park from Joiţa, at km 19 of the A1 highway, which will have a total area of 130,000 sqm. All automation will be ready by September 2022, when the entire logistics center will be operational. The investment amounts to €90 million and was announced last year.

New leases
- Nowy Styl, a European leader in office furniture solutions, has signed a lease extension at the Oxygen Park office complex. The tenant occupies approximately 550 sqm within the project.
- iLogic, an official distributor of Delphi Tools, has leased 3,400 sqm of modern space at MLP Wrocław. This transaction completes the commercialisation of the 66,000 sqm warehouse complex. BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland supported the tenant during the negotiation and lease agreement process.
- The Chief Inspectorate for Environmental Protection has leased 4,600 sqm of office space in the refurbished HOP building, part of the Syrena Real Estate portfolio, in Warsaw. The company has been operating from its new address since January 2026.
New appointments
- NEPI Rockcastle has nominated Zelda Roscherr as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Roscherr will stand for election at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in May 2026. André van der Veer, currently an Independent Non-Executive Director, will retire at the conclusion of the AGM and will not seek re-election.
- Panattoni has promoted Nick Cripps to the position of Head of International Capital Markets for Europe, the UK, the Middle East, and India. Based in London, Cripps is tasked with leading the firm’s global capital markets strategy across 18 diverse markets. He joined Panattoni five years ago as Head of UK Capital Markets.
- PSN has expanded its acquisitions team with the arrival of Martin Šrytr as Business Development Manager. Most recently, he served as Real Estate Expansion Manager at Twistcafe Group, supporting the company’s EMEA growth. His previous experience includes consulting at Cushman & Wakefield, advisory roles at Prochazka & Partners, and management positions within IWG.
