Primark continues its expansion in Romania and confirms the opening of four new stores in 2026. The international fashion retailer announced new stores in Sibiu and Bacău, joining previously announced openings in Iași and Craiova.

Cushman & Wakefield Echinox has been appointed as the exclusive advisor for the sale of a 37-hectare land plot from the former Electroputere industrial platform in central-eastern Craiova. The property presents development potential for residential, retail, logistics, or light industrial projects.

Companies leased approximately 750,000 sqm of logistics and industrial space in the first nine months of 2025, representing a 30% increase compared to the same period last year, according to a report published by Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. If the current pace continues, the annual transacted area could reach one million sqm again, matching the five-year average.

Cummins Generator Technologies Romania has extended its lease for 17,000 sqm of production and storage spaces in CTPark Craiova, in a deal brokered by Colliers Romania. 

NEPI Rockcastle, the biggest owner of shopping malls in Romania, has donated a boulevard to Craiova municipality. The road was completed following an investment of €10 million and will streamline traffic around the Promenada Craiova retail project, which will open on October 5. 

Bucharest is the largest retail market in Romania with a total stock of 1.24 million sqm in operational projects, while across the country Timișoara has the biggest volume of shopping centres and retail parks of all regional cities. 

Property investment group NEPI Rockcastle will open its new Promenada Craiova shopping centre this October, following an investment of more than €125 million. The project will include more than 150 stores and will create over 1,500 jobs in the city based in southern Romania.
