Primark continues its expansion in Romania and confirms the opening of four new stores in 2026. The international fashion retailer announced new stores in Sibiu and Bacău, joining previously announced openings in Iași and Craiova.

The retailer confirmed new stores in Sibiu Shopping City (part of the Nepi Rockcastle group) and Arena Mall Bacău in 2026, which join locations previously announced at Electroputere Mall Craiova and Palas Mall Iași. These investments will consolidate Primark's national presence and add a total of 10,870 sqm of retail space nationally.

Maciej Podwojski, Head of CEE at Primark, said: "Since opening our first store just three years ago, we have built a solid business in constant growth. As a retailer that focuses on physical stores, we know that much of this success is due to our teams. We are pleased to continue our development, invest in new stores, generate more jobs and welcome more customers in Romania next year."

With these new openings, Primark will operate a total of eight stores in Romania by the end of 2026, doubling its current presence. The retailer currently has four stores in the local market: two in Bucharest, one in Timișoara and one in Cluj-Napoca.
