Mendota Invest, member of the OTP Group and investor behind the Emonika development in Ljubljana, has signed a contract with Strabag for the execution of the southern section of the project. The southern part of Emonika with a contract value of €134 million will feature a 100-metre-high office tower, a shopping centre, a hotel and four levels of underground parking.

Overall construction output in Serbia is expected to decline this year, primarily due to the slowdown in civil engineering as several road and railway projects were completed last year. By contrast, non-residential construction has entered a new growth cycle driven by investments connected to hosting Expo 2027 in Belgrade.

Savills has been appointed as technical partner for Reico Nemovitostní fund's rental housing projects in Prague. The fund acquired two developments last year: Nový Opatov G1 and Stodůlky – Britská čtvrť A, B1, B2. Savills provides technical due diligence and construction monitoring for both projects.

Trei Real Estate has completed the first construction stage of its UP2U rental housing development in Poznan, Poland. The project delivered 330 apartments, with the first tenants moving in October 2025. By 2026, the development will comprise 460 furnished rental apartments totaling 19,300 sqm of residential space, requiring an investment of €51 million.

Romanian developer Iulius has launched Europe's largest private bioremediation project, investing €29 million to clean 38 hectares of contaminated land in downtown Constanța. The project will transform the former Oil Terminal platform into an integrated urban regeneration complex worth over €800 million.

Bellemonde has announced the launch of Bellemonde Privée, a new residential project in Pipera adding 52 villas to the growing community. The total investment amounts to €25 million, with approximately 65% secured through a financing partnership with Vista Bank.

The volume of construction works grew by 12.2% in unadjusted terms and by 10.7% as a seasonally and working-day adjusted series in the first seven months of 2025 versus the same period of last year, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS). 

M Core has started development of M Park Galați, the city's first retail park, on a 100,000 sqm plot acquired in December 2024.

EQT Park Prague North, situated in Lužec nad Vltavou near the D8 motorway, is a joint venture between the development company 7R Czech Republic and EQT Real Estate Czech Republic.

The Romanian construction market has reached a new historic milestone with 460,000 employees as of the end of May 2025, also marking a 7% increase in the volume of works during the first five months of the year compared to the same period in 2024.
