The Romanian construction market has reached a new historic milestone with 460,000 employees as of the end of May 2025, also marking a 7% increase in the volume of works during the first five months of the year compared to the same period in 2024. 

The value of new construction projects started in Hungary during H2 2025 has reached its second-lowest point since 2020, finds the EBI Construction Activity Report, prepared by Eltinga, Buildecon, and iBuild.

Despite the escalation on the front lines and increased shelling of civilian infrastructure in peaceful cities since the beginning of summer, the Ukrainian construction market has seen an increase in the number of new projects launched and completed in the first half of the year. HSF System, a member of the PURPOSIA Group investment holding, has completed the construction of the first warehouse hall in the LOGspot Logatec logistics complex in Slovenia. The project investor is the development company Atrios.

Terra Romania Utilaje de Construcții, part of Austrian construction equipment distributor Terra Holding, has opened its new HQ in Brașov, following an investment of  €2.7 million.
