Immofinanz completes placement of a €500 million bond

Immofinanz successfully placed €500 million fixed-rate senior unsecured notes with a 7-year maturity and a 2.50% fixed coupon on 8 October 2020. The net proceeds of the issue of the notes will be used to refinance existing debt, capitalize on value-creating growth opportunities, and for general corporate purposes. The issuance was oversubscribed around 2 times with strong demand by more than 110 investors.

CTP’s inaugural green bonds became the largest debut issuance by a CEE real estate company.  The bonds received a strong reception from investors and were several times oversubscribed with a peak order book in excess of €2 billion.

CEE manufacturing PMIs show stalled recovery at the end of Q3 2020

Manufacturing PMIs in CEE showed that the recovery slowed at the end of Q3 2020 and the carryover to Q4 2020 was small (and even negative in some cases). This assessment pertains also to the outlook, with new orders and output expectations either rising less or showing a slower recovery in September than in the previous months, according to Dan Bucsa, Chief CEE Economist at UniCredit Bank in London.

Futureal creates new logistics development company

Gábor Futó, the founder of Futureal and Cordia has funded a new industrial and logistics property development and investment company, HelloParks. The firm will operate as a member of Futureal Group and is headed by Rudolf Nemes. HelloParks aims to obtain a leading position of this dynamically growing segment, as a first step in Hungary, later on in the whole CEE market. Expanding the group’s portfolio will also contribute to Hungary becoming a true regional logistics center.

CTP reports increase in rental income over H1 2020

CTP Group recorded a profit of €99 million (more than CZK 2.5 billion) in the first half of 2020, while its Portfolio of Class A property under management grew to over 5.8 million sqm. During the first six months of the year, CTP Group added 268,926 sqm of lettable area to its portfolio, and plans to grow by additional 595,000 sqm by year-end. The pandemic has transformed the nature of demand, but rental incomes increased in the second quarter.

SES to install solar panels on top of more shopping centres

The SES-operated shopping centre Weberzeile located in Ried, Upper Austria, now generates its own environmentally friendly solar power, which is also the case at SES shopping centre Murpark in Graz. Last week, SES Spar European Shopping Centers commenced operation of a 520-kWp photovoltaic rooftop installation, which produces approximately 500,000 kilowatt-hours of clean electricity per year for its own use and reduces CO2 emissions by 128 tons. The photovoltaic system installed atop Weberzeile is the largest to be mounted by SES to date and is the benchmark for the installation of solar power systems on the roofs of other SES shopping centres throughout Austria.

New leases

  • The Rossmann chain has signed a contract with DL Invest Group to lease several hundred square metres of space in the newly built DL Shopping Mikołów retail park in Silesia, Poland.
  • A café from the Green Caffè Nero chain has opened at Centrum Praskie Koneser, a revitalised mixed-use complex in Warsaw. The restaurant has taken up an area of 233 sqm.
  • A Venezia brand shop has reopened in Kraków's Bonarka shopping centre. The store is approximately 160 sqm in size and has been decorated in a new concept.

New appointments

  • Piotr Herian has taken up the position of ISS CFO for Poland and the Baltics. ISS is a leading company in the creation of friendly workplaces and comprehensive facilities management.
  • Paulina Strutyńska has been promoted to the position of Leasing & Asset Director at Skanska’s commercial development business unit. She is now responsible for leasing processes in the Warsaw market as well as Key Customer Management. Agnieszka Krawczyk-Rogowska is responsible for project commercialization and client liaison in Gdańsk, Kraków, and Bucharest, while Marek Stasieńko is responsible for the Wrocław, Poznań, and Łódź markets.
  • The Supervisory Board of Globe Trade Centre S.A. has appointed Balázs Gosztonyi as a member of the Management Board of GTC S.A. Balázs Gosztonyi has held the position of Chief Financial Officer at GTC Hungary since January 2024. He joined GTC Group in September 2023 as Group Controlling Director.
