Bratislava's tallest skyscraper secures approval

Eurovea Tower, the first skyscraper in Bratislava on the Danube embankment, has received usage approval. Construction of Slovakia’s tallest building was led by J&T Real Estate (JTRE) and completed less than four years after obtaining the building permit. Only apartment interiors and common areas need to be finished before properties are handed over in spring 2024, the developer announced.

Bratislava's residential market remains stagnant

Bratislava's residential new building market continued in stagnation during the period of Q3 2023. Sales remained at the same low level as in the previous two quarters, meaning fewer than 200 apartments were sold. The supply of new apartments increased only slightly, with a similarly slow rise in price to €5,100/sqm incl. VAT. The price increase is due to the arrival of new apartments in the higher housing segment while the average price of existing projects remains unchanged, reported analysts from Bencont Investments.

Corwin unveils mixed-use project in Bratislava

Roughly 280 apartments, but also new amenities. These are the two basic parameters of the R66 multifunctional complex from development company Corwin. The company has built and managed the Guthaus project in its neighbourhood on Račianska Street. SK5 Logimac plans €30 million logistics park in Bratislava

This follows from the plan called Garbe Park Bratislava City, which the investor - the company SK5 Logimac - has submitted for environmental impact assessment (EIA). In Bratislava, the company is opening the largest timber store in Slovakia. They are Hotel Campus near Železná studienky and Knižkova family houses in the Rača district. The current total amount of the company's private equity investments is approximately €12 million, Synapsis announced.

New leases

  • Griffes has announced the leasing of 6,000 sqm of office space in Bucharest-based Unirii View. Out of the total volume, 2,000 sqm represent new tenants joining the tenant roster, while three tenants expanded operations and grew their space take-up in the building.
  • The first Gorąco Polecam store in Lubin has opened at BIG Lubin retail park. The new 151 sqm unit is in a newly designed development building featuring a large 160 sqm patio.
  • Worldbox has entered the Romanian market with its first store at Scallier's Funshop Park in Vaslui. The multi-brand store covers more than 660 sqm and offers clothing, footwear and accessories in the casual and sportswear segment.

New appointments

  • Balázs Kun has joined Avison Young Hungary as Director, Industrial, Land & Development. He brings over 5 years of experience in the Hungarian real estate market, most recently serving at CBRE in the Industrial and Logistics department.
  • CBRE Investment Management announced the firm is evolving the leadership model in its EMEA Direct Real Estate business. Under the enhanced structure, Rik Eertink will assume the role of President and CIO of EMEA Direct Real Estate, after serving as President of EMEA Direct Real Estate for the past five years.
  • Nhood has appointed Mihaela Petruescu as the new Country Director for Property Services Romania & Poland as of October. She previously held leadership positions at large real estate firms, such as Cushman & Wakefield Echinox and CBRE Romania.
