In a video interview recorded at CEE Property Forum 2025 in Vienna, Adam Pustelnik, First Deputy Mayor of the City of Łódź, outlines the timeline and expected impact of Poland’s flagship airport and rail infrastructure project. He explains how the Central Communication Port (CPK) could reshape investment dynamics, industrial development and real estate markets across Central Poland.

IAD Investments Fund has completed the acquisition of a logistics property from a European investor and developer for its IAD Real Estate Investment Fund (IAD IRF). The 3,800 sqm facility is located directly adjacent to the runway at M. R. Štefánik Airport in Bratislava, with direct connection to the airport's air cargo logistics operations.

The cornerstone-laying ceremony at City Point Okęcie marked the official launch of the construction of the project. The event also provided an opportunity to formally announce Welcome Airport Services as the sole tenant of the warehouse. Jointly developed by Peakside Capital Advisors and Partners Group, the 11,000 sqm project incorporates sustainable construction practices alongside advanced technologies in energy efficiency and water management. The facility is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2025.

The joint venture between Partners Group, acting on behalf of its clients, and Peakside Capital Advisors announces the start of construction for City Point Okęcie, an urban logistics facility spanning over 11,000 sqm and located near Warsaw Chopin Airport. The completion date is anticipated for the summer of 2025, with Depenbrock Polska appointed as general contractor.

Wing will open next year a new 4-star hotel with direct terminal access to the Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. The hotel will be operated under a management agreement with Accor.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has ended speculation about the future of CPK (Centralny Port Komunikacyjny), a huge airport hub in central Poland. He conveyed that the investment in Baranów between Łódź and Warsaw will be realised. After the change of ruling team in recent months, there was no shortage of public statements that the project pushed by the previous team would be abandoned as "megalomaniacal" and unnecessary.

After more than a year of intensive negotiations, the sale and purchase agreement for Budapest Airport Zrt. was signed on Thursday, Hungary's Ministry of National Economy said in a statement. The Hungarian state acquired an 80% stake at a purchase price of €3.1 billion (HUF 1,207.5 billion), and the €1.44 billion (HUF 560.93 billion) loan taken out by the previous owners was extended.

Panattoni has begun its biggest urban warehouse development in Warsaw. City Logistics Warsaw Airport IV with over 45,000 sqm is to be constructed near Warsaw’s Chopin Airport. In the first stage, a warehouse building is to be built that will be occupied by a tenant from the logistics sector.

Despite the pandemic, travellers and businesses have seen several large-scale real estate-related developments at Liszt Ferenc International Airport in Budapest during the past few years. There will be more huge investments over the coming years.
