Oasis Retail Development & Consulting has entered into a partnership with Austrian-based group Supernova for the development of Prima Shopping Center Sibiu. The 40,000 sqm retail park is located north of the city centre.

"Supernova is a real estate developer with over 20 years’ experience in retail development. We have previously collaborated on the Austrian market and I am convinced that we will have a successful partnership in Romania too. We are now working on permitting, with the intent to start construction for the first phase in the autumn of 2019 and deliver it in Q2 2020," Oasis co-owner Klaus Reisenauer said.

The first phase will comprise 15,000 sqm and will include a hypermarket and a shopping gallery, targeting population living north and west of Sibiu, as well as the transit traffic in the area. For the second phase, the developer targets a mix of retailers, which trade large products, and a hotel.

Oasis Development is one of the most active retail developers in Romania. The retail developer is owned by Klaus Reisenauer and Kurt Wagner. The company develops own projects under Prima Shops & Family Center brands. The company has a portfolio of seven Prima Shops retail parks, in the cities of Oradea, Roman, Reghin, Fagaras, Tecuci and Mangalia. Their list of assets also includes Family Center retail parks in Giurgiu and Ramnicu Valcea, in co-ownership.

Supernova develops and manages shopping malls and retail parks. It is active in the markets of Slovenia and Croatia, with a portfolio of over 20 shopping centres. The partnership with Oasis for the project in Sibiu marks the entry of Supernova on the Romanian market.
