Nearly 100 more apartments for young people are being built in Bratislava's Ružinov district as part of the NUPPU project. The YIT Slovakia development group continues the project's construction with the next stage, Magnolia 2, the company confirmed to Property Forum today. 

The residential development market in the Czech Republic will be expanded by a new grouping of PPF and Karlín Group. Together, they will build residential projects in Holešovice and Libeň in Prague with a total investment value of CZK 4 billion, the company PPF announced. 

The Prague City Council plans to start building hundreds of council flats for rent in the coming years. The municipality wants to address the deepening housing affordability crisis in this way, E15.cz reports.

BPI Real Estate Poland is preparing to launch 6 new projects in Poland. These will be located in Poznań, Warsaw, Wrocław and Tri-city. They are scheduled to start in 2022. In total, the projects will deliver nearly 70 thousand sqm of usable residential space to the Polish market and will provide more than 2,200 residential units. The projects in the pipeline range from residential developments to mixed-use units and enter the new PRS sector.

Over 27,000 new homes are under construction in Bucharest and its surrounding areas, which is the largest number in the modern history of the local residential market, according to real estate consultancy SVN Romania. 

The Czech government plans to introduce subsidy programs that could significantly help fund housing for refugees. In addition to funding from the state budget, money from the National Recovery Plan is also being considered. The use of the money depends on the approval of all EU-27 countries, Czech daily E15.cz reports.

Asking prices for apartments in Romania were up by 3.8% in March compared to the previous month to an average €1,654 per sqm, according to data by Imobiliare.ro platform. 

The Getberg development company is now starting to build a new residential project Forest Views in Dařbož near Prague. Another project is in the pipeline in Dubí and two projects near the capital - in Strančice u Říčany and Unhošt' - are currently being completed, Getberg announced.
