The Czech headquarters of the American Citi are soon moving to Nova Waltrovka in Prague. The bank will occupy new premises in the Metalica building from Penta Real Estate.

The construction of new office buildings in Prague almost stopped last year, resulting in increased interest from large tenants in offices, especially in newly completed or under-construction buildings in good locations. Nova Waltrovka now has 70% of its office space leased on a long-term basis, and Penta Real Estate expects this share to increase further during the year.

“We appreciate that global companies perceive Nova Waltrovka as a good address. With new office tenants, residents of the first completed apartment buildings and hotel guests, Nova Waltrovka is coming to life, and in recent months, the number of shops and services in the area has also increased,” says Pavel Streblov, Sales Director at Penta Real Estate.

“The new premises in the Metalica building in the Nová Waltrovka project symbolise our long-term commitment to the Czech market and at the same time reflect the further development of our operations here. The premises will allow more than 250 employees in our team to collaborate, innovate and grow professionally. Sustainability also played a role in the selection – the building meets environmental standards and supports our global commitment to achieve carbon neutrality within our operations by 2030,” says Munir Nanji, CEO at Citi Central Europe.

Construction activity continues in Nová Waltrovka – while in the southern part, where the Metalica and Legatica office buildings and the Zleep hotel stand and on the central boulevard, everything is already completed, in the northern part, further from Radlická Street, the construction of additional residential buildings has fully started, where up to 500 new apartments will be built in the next three years.
