The estimated volume of new industrial deliveries in Romania is set to exceed 500,000 sqm in H2 2024, which would add to the existing stock of 7.1 million sqm.

According to the latest report by Newmark Polska, the Polish warehouse and industrial market saw less than 1 million sqm transacted in the first quarter of 2024. At the end of March, the development pipeline stood at more than 2.3 million sqm while vacant stock in standing buildings experienced another rise. An increase in both developers’ and tenants’ activity is, however, expected to be spurred by long-awaited cuts to interest rates.

A distribution company has leased approximately 23,000 sqm of space at the MLP Pruszków II logistics centre. The tenant will move into the new facility at the beginning of September next year.

Garbe Industrial Real Estate CEE has completed the sale of Garbe Green Park Piešt'any in Slovakia. The nearly 28,000 sqm industrial park is fully leased. The buyer is Patria investiční společnost, a.s., part of ČSOB. 

The development of a new industrial building with a leasable area of 27,500 sqm has kicked off at BHM Industrial Park Belgrade (IPB), with completion expected by the end of 2024.

The industrial sector in Romania is recording a slowdown in Q1 2024, with the same trend being recorded across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) markets, according to a iO Partners analysis.

Law firm Kinstellar has advised Globalworth on the sale of a part of its logistics portfolio to CTP. The deal was signed in March 2024 and the closing was recorded in the next month.

Poland's industrial market remains steady and adapts its growth rate to the macroeconomic conditions in both the local and European markets. The gross take-up statistics, which stood at 870,000 sqm at the end of Q1 2024, demonstrated the restricted growth of businesses in the industrial and logistics sectors. Developers supplied about 850,000 sqm between January and March 2024, which prompted Axi Immo analysts to report a slight increase in vacancy rates to 8.2%. The industrial sector has more than 32.7 million sqm of total stock. Nonetheless, a further 2.3 million sqm are still being built.

At 7R Park Gdańsk IV, which spans 42,000 square meters, Mercator Medical S.A will open its first dedicated distribution centre covering 13,000 square meters. The warehouse park is a part or the portfolio of 7R.
