Prologis opens second SBU building in Poland

Prologis has opened a 16,000 square metre small business unit (SBU) facility at Prologis Park Chorzów, which is already 60 percent leased. This is the last building to be constructed at Prologis’ largest distribution centre in Poland, totalling 251,000 square metres.

Panattoni Europe to deliver new BTS facility near Poznan

Panattoni Europe is to deliver a custom-tailored project for Trio Line, the Danish manufacturer of high-end upholstered furniture. The investment spanning more than 32,200 sqm of space will be developed near Poznań and will merge warehousing and manufacturing functions. The transaction was mediated by AXI IMMO, and completion of the facility is planned in Q1 2017.

Budapest Airport to build new logistics base for DHL Express

Budapest Airport and DHL Express have signed a strategic agreement about the development of a new facility for the Deutsche Post DHL Group company in Hungary. This is the second large-scale investment by Budapest Airport and DP DHL, after the latter’s freight forwarding business units moved into a new facility built in the Airport Business Park in 2013.

Budapest logistics parks sell out quickly

There has been a significant increase in demand for income-producing industrial properties bought for investment purposes in Hungary in the past two years. China's Shanghai Feilo Acoustics owned Inesa Europe purchased more than 16,000 square meters of industrial property under such a deal. The distribution center located at Dunakeszi serves the European customers of one of the largest LED manufacturers in China.

New leases

  • Expur has leased 940 sqm for its new offices in Business Garden Bucharest, owned by Vastint Romania. The deal was brokered by Fortim Trusted Advisors, a member of the BNP Paribas Real Estate Alliance.
  • GTX Romania has leased 2,700 sqm in VLParks Bucharest West, in a deal brokered by iO Partners.
  • Vitalaire Romania, a subsidiary of the Air Liquide Group, has relocated its offices to Bucharest-based One Cotroceni Park, in a deal brokered by iO Partners.

New appointments

  • Artur Apostoł joins Griffin Capital Partners as Co-Managing Partner to lead the company’s real estate activities together with Marek Obuchowicz, who has been promoted to Co-Managing Partner. Artur and Marek are taking over responsibilities from Piotr Fijołek, who transitions from an active role and will continue supporting the firm as Senior Advisor. These appointments mark the completion of a leadership transformation aligned with the company’s dynamic growth and long-term strategy.
  • CBRE Hungary has named Anna Zhang as Business Development Manager, while Antoine Fromental takes on the role of Hotel Investment Analyst. Zhang is tasked with developing partnerships with Far Eastern clients and strengthening business relations in CEE markets. She previously served on the PwC Hungary China Desk team. Fromental joins the firm after roles at B&B Hotels and Cushman & Wakefield, where he contributed to various European hotel development, valuation, and market research projects.
  • Garbe has named Zuzana Štěpánková as Business Development Manager in the Czech Republic. She has previously worked at iO Partners as Senior Consultant.
