Panattoni has started construction work on a factory for Danfoss Poland in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. The development with an area of 12,000 sqm will be equipped with several ecologically friendly systems that will make the building highly energy-efficient and also improve the conditions for the workforce of around 400 people. The building is scheduled to be completed in November 2021. It will be used as a place to manufacture components for the RAC (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning) business division.

7R has won a tender to purchase 20 ha of land in the Pomeranian Logistics Centre. On the plot, the developer will build the 7R Park Gdańsk Port complex, with a total area of approx. 123,000 sqm. The land property is located in the immediate vicinity of the Port of Gdańsk, and the largest deepwater terminal in the Baltic Sea – DCT Gdańsk.

The investment volume on the Polish commercial property market is estimated to have reached €1.05 billion in Q3 2020. According to Savills, the industrial sector accounted for approximately 70% of that total, which illustrates the current investor preference for logistics properties, especially facilities dedicated to e-commerce.

P3 Logistic Parks signed a collaboration protocol with the Regional Branch of Railway Transport for Passengers Bucharest (CFR Călători). The agreement grants train stops next to P3 Bucharest A1 park for the Regio and InterRegio trains circulating the route Bucharest - Videle and back. This new transport facility will allow P3 Bucharest A1’s tenants to recruit labour force from adjacent locations, on the route Roșiori - Videle - P3 Bucharest A1 - Basarab - Gara de Nord and back. Starting 21 September, P3’s park in Bucharest can be accessed also by train, from Gara de Nord or Basarab, in a 17-25 minutes trip.

Infogroup has commenced construction of a new logistics building in Polgár Industrial Park. The 4000 sqm speculative building is being developed in the company’s own industrial park. The customizable building will offer a solution to growing logistics and industrial needs, is expected to be ready in Q2 2021.

The I&L sector in the CEE-17 has become one of the most sought-after asset types since 2019, after offices and residential according to Colliers International, CMS and Randstad. The report revealed that some of the key challenges in this sector include the availability of land and property in locations that meet both the developers and end-user expectations, along with the availability and reliability of utilities, connectivity to transport infrastructure, the availability and skills of the labour pool, and access to investment incentives.

Panattoni is expanding in Upper Silesia. The developer has started the construction of Panattoni Park Ruda Śląska III, which will eventually have an area of 70,000 sqm. The project is in the middle of the Silesian conurbation near the A1 and A2 motorways, which will give it excellent connections to the most important towns and cities of both the region and the country.

Developer P3 has received approval for two new halls at P3 Mladá Boleslav, Hall 3 with an area of ​​3,900 sqm and Hall 4 with an area of ​​5,000 sqm.

CTP is building Lenovo's first European plant in Üllő, Pest County, in ctPark Budapest East industrial park. As part of the investment worth more than €18 million, CTP is building Lenovo's first high-tech European plant on nearly 35,000 sqm, the delivery of which is scheduled for spring 2021.

Gábor Futó, the founder of Futureal and Cordia has funded a new industrial and logistics property development and investment company, HelloParks. The firm will operate as a member of Futureal Group and is headed by Rudolf Nemes. HelloParks aims to obtain a leading position of this dynamically growing segment, as a first step in Hungary, later on in the whole CEE market. Expanding the group’s portfolio will also contribute to Hungary becoming a true regional logistics center.
