Forestay Group continues its growth strategy with the appointment of András Kovács as Asset Management and Transactions Director. 


Kovács is one of the recognised specialists in the real estate market, having gained comprehensive experience during his career in leasing, sales, acquisition and development of regional commercial, logistics and industrial properties. Throughout his career spanning 20 years, he has held key positions at domestic and international multinational companies. "His comprehensive professional knowledge of market operations has been enriched by managing his own businesses and advisory experience," the company stated.

The group is executing investments across five development projects, totalling one thousand hotel rooms and three thousand apartments in Budapest, while continuously seeking new opportunities alongside these developments. 

Kovács btained his economics degree from IBS-Oxford Brookes University, which he supplemented with a marketing communications diploma. He completed his legal studies at Pázmány Péter Catholic University and also participated in Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) specialised training organised by Budapest University of Technology.

Forestay Group is a domestically owned company with 15 years of experience and over €800 million in real estate development portfolio. During its property development activities, it covers the full spectrum of investments, whether involving fund management and financing, technical project management, construction or hotel operations. The company owns and operates Dean's Home Budapest, the capital's only large-scale private student accommodation, as well as several Marriott hotels.

New appointments

  • PSN has expanded its acquisitions team with the arrival of Martin Šrytr as Business Development Manager. Most recently, he served as Real Estate Expansion Manager at Twistcafe Group, supporting the company’s EMEA growth. His previous experience includes consulting at Cushman & Wakefield, advisory roles at Prochazka & Partners, and management positions within IWG.
  • iO Partners has announced key leadership changes within its Czech Republic operations as part of its ongoing business evolution. Milan Kilik has been appointed as the new Head of Office Leasing, with a particular focus on client advisory and team collaboration. Concurrently, Petr Kareš has transitioned into the role of Occupier Business Development Director. In this new capacity, he will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities and integrating services across Tenant Representation, Project Management, and Industrial Leasing.
  • Romanian office developer Genesis Property has appointed Cătălin Niculiță as Leasing Manager. With nearly 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, he has held leadership roles at real estate companies such as Atenor, collaborating with major office tenants in the banking, telecom, and IT sectors.
