Dr. Schneider Automotive Polska Sp. z o.o., which belongs to the Dr. Schneider Group and has been operating in Poland since 2002, will move into Panattoni Park Jelenia Góra already in the second quarter of this year. BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland experts advised the automotive company in the search for a new production location and in the negotiation of the terms of the contract. A production plant will be built on an area of 7,439 sqm + 4,293 sqm of mezzanine floor to produce parts for electric cars, among other products.

Dr. Schneider has been expanding in the Jelenia Góra valley since 2005 when a production hall was built in Radomierz. During that time, the company invested tens of millions of zlotys in new production lines and new technologies, becoming one of the largest employers in the area. The plant in Radomierz in the Janowice Wielkie commune, which lies on the border with Jelenia Góra, is where the largest of the Group's production facilities is located and is also home to an assembly competence centre.

"The logistics and industrial space market along the western border, although relatively young, is developing very dynamically and has strong potential for further growth. For Dr. Schneider, the commissioning and optimum furnishing of the new production plant in Jelenia Góra is a decision which will enable further development of the company. A modern facility, excellent knowledge of the local market, a large urban centre in the neighbourhood, experience in cooperation with the local authorities, sound infrastructure and location at the intersection of various transport corridors – all of these elements together create a very stable foundation for expansion", emphasises Robert Pawłowski, Director of the Industrial and Logistics Lease Department, BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland.

The company is to open a plant at Panattoni Park Jelenia Góra, covering an area of 7,439  sqm + 4,293 sqm of production mezzanine, which will manufacture components for cars, including electric cars, for brands such as Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, GM, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Mercedes- Benz AG, Porsche, Skoda, Stellantis, Toyota, Volvo, VW.

The start of operations is planned for the third quarter of this year and, once the production has commenced, Dr. Schneider will be employing a total of 1,200 people at both of its plants – from production workers, mechanics, logisticians, engineers, quality control and office workers to production planning and development specialists and automation specialists.

"Jelenia Góra is the fourth largest city in Lower Silesia, located just over an hour’s drive from the border crossing with Germany and half an hour’s drive from the border crossing with the Czech Republic. The city is not only the heart of the Karkonosze Mountains, but it also plays an important role in the automotive industry. Thanks to investments such as Panattoni Park Jelenia Góra, the city is going to increase its potential, also in the field of electromobility, which is confirmed by the presence of Dr. Schneider at our facility", comments Damian Kowalczyk, Development Director at Panattoni.

Panattoni Park Jelenia Góra is a modern logistics complex covering an area of over 20,000 sqm, comprising two buildings. The development is located at the intersection of German and Czech transport routes, which makes it an ideal place for companies from the Jelenia Góra valley looking for production and warehouse space. The park is being built along sustainable lines and will receive the BREEAM environmental certification with a level of Excellent.
