BHM Renewables, a subsidiary of the BHM group, has sold two rooftop solar projects at logistics parks in Slovakia and Slovenia. Both projects have reached the "Ready to Build" stage.

The next step is a takeover by new investors for construction and long-term operation. The first project is situated on the rooftop of the BHM Park Dunajská Streda logistics and industrial facility in Kostolné Kračany, Slovakia. With an installed capacity of 4.5 MWp and an expected annual electricity generation of over 5 GWh, the project was acquired by Energe SK, an independent energy supplier and aggregator.

The second project, located on the rooftop of BHM Park Maribor in Hoče, Slovenia, has a capacity of 3 MWp and is expected to generate 3 GWh of electricity annually. It was acquired by Resalta, part of the global energy group Aggreko.

“The sale of these projects aligns with our long-term strategy: we develop solar parks up to the RtB stage and then hand them over to specialised investors. Utilising the rooftops of our facilities for photovoltaic energy production is a natural step toward a sustainable future and creates valuable synergies across BHM’s investment segments,” said Michal Prause, Associate Partner at BHM Renewables.

Both projects have been designed with the potential for future installation of battery storage systems, which would enable more efficient use of the generated energy. Construction is set to begin in 2025, with the first electricity deliveries to the grid expected in 2026.

BHM Renewables has a track record in solar project development. Between 2013 and 2020, the company developed a 25.3 MW portfolio in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, which was later sold to the Austrian fund Enery. Today, BHM Renewables is also focusing on the development of solar parks in Finland, where, through its platform Winda Energy, it has advanced projects totalling over 200 MW to the RtB stage.
