Essendi has sold the Sofitel Warsaw Victoria hotel to DeSilva Group as part of an ongoing portfolio management strategy. The transaction reflects Essendi's broader repositioning towards owned hotels in the economy and midscale segments across Europe.
In Poland, Essendi's strategy is illustrated by the recent opening of TRIBE Krakow Old Town and the renovation of Mercure Gdynia Centrum, both representing its focus on mid-market assets.
For DeSilva Group, the acquisition represents a step into the premium segment and reinforces the group's presence in the Polish capital. DeSilva has indicated that it views the investment as a long-term commitment to hospitality development while preserving the property's character.
The hotel will continue to operate under the Sofitel brand and be managed by Accor following the change of ownership.
