Amazon has announced the construction of a modern, 200,000 sqm robotic fulfilment centre (FC) in Dobromierz as the centerpiece of a €5 billion investment in Poland between 2026 and 2028.
The facility, designed to strengthen the company’s logistics network, will be equipped with over 5,000 robots to support employees in demanding tasks and streamline the picking and shipping process. This expansion follows a decade of growth in which Amazon has already invested over €10 billion in the country.
The four-story building is being prepared for Breeam certification, ensuring it meets international standards for energy efficiency and environmental responsibility. Within its first year of operation, the facility is expected to create over 1,000 full-time jobs, offering opportunities for specialized technical and operational skill development.
"We believe technology should serve people. This is the philosophy guiding our investment in Lower Silesia," said Sławomir Płonka, Director Regional Operations Amazon CEE.
In 2025, e-commerce turnover in Poland reached nearly €18.57 billion, with analysts forecasting a further 7.1% increase in 2026. With the addition of the Dobromierz site, Amazon will operate 12 fulfilment centres across Poland.
"Poland is already one of the world's 20 largest economies, and Amazon intends to play an active role in strengthening that position," added Mariangela Marseglia, Vice President of Amazon European Stores.
