With total investments exceeding €500 million in Romania’s real estate market in the past 25 years, Anchor Grup is looking for new funding and recently kicked off a new residential project. Romania is an attractive market for international retail companies which are interested in leasing large areas, often above 1,500-2,000 sqm, according to a report by real estate consultancy CBRE. Günther Artner (49) has taken over the management of the Commercial Real Estate business of Erste Group and Erste Bank Oesterreich as of 1 July 2022. Artner thus succeeds Patrick Zehetmayr, who is leaving Erste Group.

Property group Immofinanz has signed a 25-year lease for 6,500 sqm in Bucharest-based myhive Victoria Park to Leventer Medical Group. The leased area will host Leventer Hospital, the country's first private dermatology and surgical oncology hospital that will open in 2024 following an investment of around €10 million. 

Property developer Globalworth has secured a green loan of €85 million from the IFC, a member of the World Bank, which will be used for the expansion of sustainable projects in Romania.

They reaffirmed the EU Bank's steadfast position on the importance and urgency of investing in Ukraine's European future, even as fighting continues across the country. Emphasising its support for the recovery plan presented at the conference, the EIB offered a new instrument, the EU-Ukraine Gateway Trust Fund. This financing instrument could support Ukraine’s early and long-term recovery and the country’s journey towards EU membership.

The logistic real estate market of Ukraine has been seriously damaged during the military aggression on the part of the Russian Federation. Warehouses are subjected to targeted attacks, as they are regarded by the aggressor as strategic objects, providing logistics, delivery of food and essential goods. On the territory of the Kyiv region, warehouse and logistics complexes with a total area of about 382,000 square meters were destroyed, writes Iryna Nastych summarised the situation in an article prepared by the Ukrainian Real Estate Club for Property Forum.
