Penta Real Estate has begun construction works on a new office building in Bratislava‘s Chalupkova zone at the beginning of December, ASB reports.

At the peak of the construction season, there were double-digit year-on-year drops in the issuance of building permits and approvals, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic reports. The number of started dwellings was significantly behind even the pre-pandemic period, but the completion was higher. The pace of completion and the start of construction slowed year-on-year in up to 6 regions.

The new OC Tehelko shopping centre, part of the National Football Stadium complex in Bratislava, was opened by developer Grafobal Group, owned by businessman Ivan Kmotrík, INDEX reports.

The completion of Garbe Green Park Piešťany in Slovakia is close as Garbe has secured a third loan for the finalisation. The loan from Oberbank is in the volume of €14.6 million.

Savills has appointed Ondřej Míček as Head of the Industrial Agency for its Czech and Slovak operations from December 2023. Alto Real Estate has presented the shape of the Florian Residence residential project, which is being built on a brownfield site in the centre of Bratislava's Old Town. In the first phase, 73 apartments will be available. The construction is then preliminary scheduled to be completed in 2025. 

Ján Krnáč, Executive Director of Cresco Real Estate, talked to Property Forum about the opportunities in the Czech and Slovak residential market. He also explained the “rent to own” scheme developed for those not able to afford a mortgage right now due to the higher interest rates.

There will be lofts built on the premises of the former Svornost' letterpress factory on the corner of Račianska and Kominarska streets in Bratislava. The building is not listed, but it is still in good condition. In these weeks, reconstruction works are being started, which will turn it into a multifunctional project Lofty Kominárska, writes the web portal yimba.sk.
