United Business Center 3 in Timișoara has become the only LEED ‘Platinum’ certified office building in Romania outside Bucharest and the third one in the country.

Speedwell has closed a significant deal with KPMG for office space lease at Miro, the company’s new project located in Băneasa, Bucharest. The project has marked a key milestone as it has just received its building permit and will welcome KPMG’s employees at the end of 2021. The office division of Knight Frank Romania was the consultant in the transaction.

Iulius Company is starting the construction works for Palas Campus in Iași, an investment upwards of €120 million. Accor has signed a management agreement with Alexandra Residence Design to open 144-room ibis hotel by the end of 2022. The construction industry in most of Southeastern Europe will be bruised by the pandemic effects this year, causing a drop in construction outputs. The two exceptions are Croatia and Bulgaria where civil engineering could compensate for the losses elsewhere. The works for Speedwell’s newest project, Paltim, will soon kick off in the city of Timișoara. The demolition permit has been issued and the works are set to start in the first part of July 2020.
