Zeitgeist Asset Management has announced that on January 1st, 2022, Maximilian Mendel, one of the most experienced practitioners in PRS, student housing and other fields in the living sector, will assume the position of Managing Director of their Polish subsidiary.

Urszula Kowalska, Krystyna Pietruszyńska and Patrick Pospiech were appointed directors in JLL’s Living Investments department at the beginning of October and, with the support of Paweł Sztejter, Head of JLL Living, they will focus on developing transactional and development advisory services on the Polish residential market.

Colliers is starting a new business line - Living Services - from the services offered so far by the Corporate Finance department. The new line will focus exclusively on projects in the living sector and will be offered to clients operating not only in Poland but in the entire CEE region.  

Romanian developer Genesis Property says that its IMMUNE Building Standard is also covering the residential sector, on top of the office and industrial segments. 

Luxury apartments are still less than 1% of the primary market in Poland, but their popularity among buyers is growing. Since the beginning of 2020, the average quarterly sales volume in this segment is double the number set between 2017 and 2019.

Belgrade Waterfront is adding one more residential building which will be its 24th. BW Eterna is a building with 223 residential units on six standard and two recessed floors. This building has apartments of different sizes and structures – from one to four-bedroom apartments.

Property developer Campeador says it has secured a loan worth €4.5 million from CEC Bank to continue the construction of its residential project in Timișoara. 

Andrzej Oślizło, CEO of Develia, one of the largest Polish developers has talked to Property Forum about the recent sale of Wrocław landmark, Sky Tower, PRS perspectives and the current market conditions in the residential sector in Poland.

Local residential developer Metrodom has bought a 15,000 sqm plot on Budapest's Soroksári út, where it plans to build a new residential quarter, property advisor CE Land, which brokered the deal, announced.

Rents and house prices in the EU have continued their steady increase in Q2 2021, going up by 1.3% and 7.3% respectively, compared to Q2 2020, according to Eurostat data. Looking at long-term trends, CEE countries are among those that have registered the highest house price growth since 2010.
