The Savarin project by Crestyl Development Group has received a valid zoning decision, enabling the reconstruction of the courtyard in the vicinity of Prague's Wenceslas Square.

Prague's first skyscraper, built in 1934 and known as the Trade Union House in Prague's Žižkov district, is set to receive a major renovation, reports seznamzpravy.cz. The dilapidated but listed building has been owned by the bathroom empire SIKO since 2018.

The Ukrainian housing sector continues to face significant challenges due to the ongoing conflict. However, the Government of Ukraine is actively implementing various initiatives to support citizens affected by the war. As of early April, over 100,000 homes have been restored, as announced by Oleksiy Kuleba, Vice Prime Minister for Recovery and Minister of Community and Territorial Development, during a meeting of the Ukrainian Donor Platform in Kyiv. The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) Foundation has awarded a $22,000 grant to the Kyiv School of Development (KSD). The funding will be used for the training of at least 100 reconstruction specialists to help rebuild Ukraine. 

The office and business centre Karlák Shopping Square (formerly Charles Square Center) owned by KGAL is getting a new face. The complete rebranding, architectural modifications and reconstruction of retail and office spaces, including a modernised logo are all included in the reconstruction plan.

On 15-16 May, the Ukrainian Construction Congress was held in Kyiv, with the key topic of rebuilding Ukraine in a barrier-free and inclusive manner. As part of the concept of rebuilding Ukraine, the Steel Dream Bakhmut concept plan was presented. Over 16,400 sqm GLA currently supplies the Białystok market with the Wysocki Retail Park, which was created on the basis of the former Outlet Białystok project. The owner, Newgate Investment, planned and implemented the processes of reconstruction and recommercialization of the former outlet with an original GLA of 13,336 sqm. As a result of the changes introduced, the area of the facility increased by over 3,000 sqm and the NOI level increased by approximately 70%. Redevelopment projects initiated by Newgate Investment began in 2021. The final stage is currently underway. Newgate Investment manages a real estate portfolio consisting of 30 commercial facilities with a total lettable area exceeding 126,000 sqm. The rental level of the property is close to 100%.

In 2024, PSN will begin a two-year reconstruction of the famous functionalist building in the centre of Pardubice. The first republican Grand Hotel, which served as a shopping centre for over 20 years, will now be transformed into a modern shopping centre with full preservation of the original legacy of the architect Gočár. The renovation is expected to cost €12.331 million, PSN estimates.

Developer UDI Group will launch a residential development in Prague directly opposite the Lužiny metro station. With an investment of more than CZK 1.3 billion (€52.6 million), two apartment buildings will be built here to complement the shopping centre, in line with the original plan from the 1980s. 

The Ritz-Carlton luxury hotel, which is to be built in the heart of Prague after the renovation of eight historic buildings, and was delayed is now moving forward again. The long-planned construction of a five-star hotel was supposed to be completed last year, but the new completion date is now set for 2025 at the earliest. The reconstruction will also include 26 apartments for long-term rent, writes E15.cz.
