For a time, the Prague hotel market has lagged behind other European cities in terms of recovery from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Its latest performance indicators are showing a significant increase in 2023, Cushman & Wakefield reports.

For the sixth time, the state is trying to sell the functionalist building in the centre of Prague, reports Newstream.cz. Compared to the last, failed auction, the price has been reduced by CZK 19 million (€76,100).

According to 2023 reports, PSN has booked 23 purchase contracts with a total value of over CZK 1.3 billion (€52 million). The largest part is represented by 15 apartment buildings.

A total of 57 housing units in Prague 6 have been acquired by the Prague Archbishopric after signing a contract with the developer Finep.

The Trigea real estate fund has officially completed the purchase of the Arkády Pankrác shopping centre in Prague. The price exceeded CZK 6 billion (€241 million), E15.cz reports. It is the largest transaction carried out by domestic retail funds in the Czech Republic.

The Brutalist monument in the centre of Prague has been closed for up to 2 years for reconstruction, reports Newstream.cz. The internal layout of the building is going to change, converting some of the floors into offices.

Deutsche Pfandbriefbank has provided a €33 million investment loan facility to a SPV, managed by Amesbury. The company is utilising the proceeds for the refinancing of the two business parks near Prague. pbb has acted as the arranger, agent and sole lender under the facility.

ZDR Investments has completed this year´s first acquisition, reports Newstream.cz. The fund for qualified investors has listed in their portfolio the Billa grocery store with subsequent retail in the Kunratice district of Prague.

Penta Real Estate has announced the results of the architectural competition held last year for a new building in Hybernská Street in Prague, on the site of the former post office building. Seven invited teams from the Czech Republic and Slovakia have participated in the competition.
