Accor has entered into a binding agreement to sell its 85.8% stake in Orbis to AccorInvest at a price of PLN 115 per share, corresponding to proceeds for Accor of €1.06 billion (PLN 4.55 billion), in line with Orbis’ Gross Asset Value. This completes the Orbis transaction, following the acquisition by Accor of Orbis’ Management and Franchise business last October for €286m.
Orbis Hotel Group, a strategic partner of AccorHotels, continues its expansion in Romania by signing a management contract for ibis Politehnica Hotel in Bucharest with its partner and investor Novum Business Services SRL.
In line with its development strategy for AccorHotels branded hotels in Eastern Europe, in particular on the very promising Romanian market, Orbis signed 3 new agreements in recent weeks for a total of 370 hotel rooms.
Orbis has opened a new Ibis Styles hotel in the northern area of Bucharest. The hotel features a restaurant, a conference room, a business lounge and a bar, in addition to 80 guest rooms. The property was rebranded from Hotel Erbas.
In accordance with its business strategy - consisting in allocating capital to the most promising markets, which will underpin sustainable results in the future, Orbis has signed a purchase agreement for the plot, building and the business related operations in Mercure Bucharest Unirii for €11.35 million.
Orbis Hotel Group signed a sale and management back agreement with Budapest-based Novoop Ingatlanüzemeltető Kft. for the Novotel Szeged hotel. As part of the transaction, the hotel was handed over to the new owner on the 9th of May, to be continued to operate under the “Novotel” brand by Orbis in the frame of a long-term management agreement for 15 years.
Two new tenants have joined Galeria Echo in Kielce, owned by EPP. Dealz chain shop has leased a unit of nearly 580 sqm. The retail space of the Carrefour hypermarket is more than 4,500 sqm.
A Rossmann chain outlet has opened in the TGG shopping centre in Wrocław. The new chemist's shop took up over 600 sqm next to the grocery shop. In September, the second TGG site, the Astra shopping centre in Wrocław, will in turn see the opening of a Pepco chain shop.
InPost has opened a second logistics centre in Łódź. Ultimately, almost 300 people will find work in the 8,500 sqm facility. InPost's logistics centre, located in the vicinity of the A1 Central Logistics Hub motorway, occupies 7.5 thousand sqm of warehouse space and 1 thousand sqm of office space.
Agnieszka Boroń has joined Equilis Poland to take up the post of Development Director. She has worked in the construction and development industry for over 20 years, specialising in residential project management. Prior to joining Equilis Poland, she was programme director at Nexity. Prior to that, she worked in managerial positions at Dom Development.
Agnieszka Baczyńska took up the position of Head of Leasing - Retail in CPIPG. She is responsible for the commercialization of retail facilities from the CPIPG portfolio. Baczyńska also manages the leasing of office space on the buildings owned by CPIPG.
