Accolade published its results for 2020. Last year saw the expansion of the portfolio area by 30%, almost 400 new qualified investors and a year-on-year return of 10,02%. The biggest industrial real estate fund in the Czech Republic now owns a total of 16 industrial parks in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Germany with an area of 936,304 sqm.1,200 investors benefit from the rental income which was increased by 35%, in 2020.

Panattoni has launched its latest city logistics project in Warsaw. The 18,000 sqm City Logistics Warsaw VI park will be in the city’s industrial neighbourhood. The centre is situated to serve Warsaw’s districts of Praga and Śródmieście – the central part of the city.

InPost, which owns a network of parcel lockers Paczkomaty®, will launch a new 6,000 sqm logistics centre in Prologis Park Chorzów. One of Poland’s largest logistics operators was advised on the transaction by real estate advisory firm Savills.

Over the last decade, industrial supply has more than tripled from 6.3 million sqm at the end of 2010 to almost 21 million sqm in 2020. Czech industrial developer Demaco obtained a planning permit for the construction of an industrial hall of 18,245 sqm of a built-up area in the DMC Kvasiny industrial park. This is the largest permitted hall ready for construction near the Škoda Auto plant in Kvasiny, where the successful Superb, Kodiaq and Karoq models are produced.

The pandemic year turned out to be a bumper year for industrial and logistics, with total demand increasing by a staggering 72% over 2019, to nearly 784,000 sqm of leasing deals, Colliers International Romania data shows.

The manufacturer and distributor of household appliances continues its cooperation with MLP Group and remains a tenant at the MLP Pruszków I logistics park near Warsaw. The company will use nearly 23.5 thousand sqm of modern warehouse space.

Disruptions from the pandemic are poised to continue, according to the Prologis Logistics Rent Index. Lockdowns and other COVID-19-related situations may constrain customers’ operations, though the volatility is expected to be less severe than in 2020 as many customers now have better supply chain visibility.
