Due to the recent growth of interest in online shopping driven by the coronavirus pandemic, a leading logistics operator in Poland has decided to expand its warehouse footprint by leasing 15,000 sqm of temporary space in Prologis Park Piotrków Trybunalski I. Savills assisted one of e-commerce leaders in Poland in the leasing process.

Profi, one of the largest retail chains in Romania, expands its logistic activities by contracting two new projects in Timisoara (58,000 sqm) and Craiova (57,000 sqm), which will be developed and rented out by Belgian logistics developer WDP. JLL has advised Profi in both transactions, thus continuing the partnership started few years ago, which resulted in 250,000 sqm of logistics space contracted in Bucharest, Roman, Cluj, Craiova and Timisoara.

Starting this month, Banca Comercială Română (BCR) has relocated its headquarters to the Business Garden Bucharest office building, developed by Vastint, the real estate division of Ikea.

Dunwell brokered a transaction for TeraPlast for 5,000 sqm (1,500 sqm of warehouse space and 3,500 sqm of outer platform) in Mega Distribution Center’s park in Chiajna. Panattoni has leased out 35,000 sqm at Panattoni Park Gliwice III. As a result, another Panattoni distribution centre is now fully commercialised. The tenant will move into the park before the end of April and will use it for e-commerce order fulfilment.

CBRE has leased 4,000 sqm at Warsaw Unit, which is currently under construction by Ghelamco near the Rondo Daszyńskiego. The 202-meter building will offer 57,000 sqm of office space on 45 floors as well as a multi-story garage for 450 vehicles and infrastructure for cyclists, including bike parking, locker rooms and showers. Completion is scheduled for 2021.

Colliers International advised Jaguar Land Rover Slovakia in leasing an 11,000 sqm new warehouse premises in DC3 – Supplier Park Nitra.

With the help of Cushman & Wakefield Budapest, a major software development company has rapidly signed a 7,500 sqm pre-lease at Atenor’s Váci Greens Building E. With this new transaction the office building is 40% pre-let 6 months prior to handover. This 40% comprises lease agreements with retail service providers as well, such as a restaurant, a bakery, a drogerie and customer service offices. Cushman & Wakefield’s PDS Team is providing interior design and project management services to the tenant.

Institutional investors expect that so-called ‘green’ lease clauses will be universally implemented in the real estate industry before the end of this decade, according to a new research by Savills Investment Management.
