There has been a significant increase in demand for income-producing industrial properties bought for investment purposes in Hungary in the past two years. China's Shanghai Feilo Acoustics owned Inesa Europe purchased more than 16,000 square meters of industrial property under such a deal. The distribution center located at Dunakeszi serves the European customers of one of the largest LED manufacturers in China.

Renewals dominated the Budapest industrial property market in the second three months of the year where the vacancy rate has increased for the first time in nearly three years. The Budapest Research Forum has published its Q2 2016 industrial market snapshot.  

Panattoni Europe completed the manufacturing site built for Kongsberg Automotive of Norway. The project, sized 6300 sqm, was executed in Koluszki, Central Poland. Formal acceptance of the project by tenant took place on 15 July 2016

P3 has reached the important milestone of 300,000 sqm of built space at its P3 Bucharest park, the largest logistics park in Romania. Since its purchase of the park at the beginning of 2015, P3 has added a total of 85,000 sqm of new space for existing and new clients.

Cushman & Wakefield has published its new CE industrial map to give a comprehensive overview of the most important logistics and industrial sites in Central Europe, Russia and Germany. In addition, this year’s edition has been expanded with figures for Italy’s Milan.

Prologis has signed a lease agreement with Grupa Allegro, the largest e-commerce platform in Poland, for 21,950 square metres at Prologis Park Błonie. The transaction involves 13,100 square metres of space that has been leased now and an additional 8,850 square metres that will be leased in 2017.

CTP has recently signed an agreement to purchase two logistics sites with a combined floor space of 66,000 square meters from Raiffeisen Group member DAV Property Kft. The new properties acquired using a loan from Raiffeisen Bank Zrt. have increased the total floor space of CTP’s warehouse facilities in Üllő to 100,000 square meters and that of its total Hungarian industrial property portfolio to 135,000 square meters. 

Prologis has signed a new lease agreement for 4,800 square metres with Inter Cars Hungária, the largest passenger and truck parts dealer in Central and Eastern Europe, at its DC7 building now under construction at Prologis Park Budapest-Sziget. CBRE facilitated the transaction.

Prologis has announced that it will deliver a 34,200 square metre build-to-suit distribution facility at Prologis Park Prague-Rudná for Sportisimo, a Czech sporting goods retailer.

Goodman Group has signed two lease agreements for a total of 7,800 sqm at the Pomeranian Logistics Centre (PLC), located adjacent to the Deepwater Container Terminal (DCT) in Gdańsk. With these new agreements, all available space (51,500 sqm) at PLC is now fully leased. In response to market demand, Goodman is also constructing 15,836 sqm of class-A warehousing at PLC, which will be delivered in the third quarter of 2016.
