GLP has launched the development of two new warehousing projects in Poland: the third phase of construction at Poznań Airport Logistics Centre and the first building of Warsaw V Logistics Centre.

The warehouse will be built as a part of GLP Park Lędziny in Silesia and used as a regular distribution depot for Maspex Group’s beverage division. Omega Pilzno will handle warehouse logistics and transport as part of the tender. AXI IMMO brokered the transaction.

GLP has closed an acquisition contract for a 22.3-hectare plot in Szigetszentmiklós, next to its existing Sziget Logistics Centre near Budapest, the larger part of which has already been let to Fiege Group. GLP has simultaneously obtained an occupancy permit for the first building, while two further units are under construction. The two phases of the project will comprise more than 150,000 sqm of prime warehouse space.

GLP has commenced the development of GLP Wrocław V Logistics Centre, the largest warehouse project underway in the Wrocław metropolitan area. Built on a 50 ha plot, the GLP project will ultimately offer approximately 240,000 sqm of logistics space.

AIA Group Limited has formed a strategic partnership with GLP to invest in the global logistics real estate industry and related opportunities.

GLP has leased a 43,000 sqm unit at Sziget Logistics Centre to Fiege Group, a leading European logistics company that specialises in efficient supply chain solutions.

GLP closed the acquisition of Goodman Group’s CEE portfolio less than a year ago. With the integration complete, the company is developing a number of large-scale projects. Błażej Ciesielczak, the CEO of GLP Central and Eastern Europe talked to Property Forum about the growth of the logistics market and shared the company’s expansion strategy for the region.

GLP has leased 20,000 sqm of logistics space across two logistics parks in Czech Republic and Slovakia. The company is developing further GLP Parks in Ostrava and Brno, with an additional two developments in the pipeline for next year.

GLP announced today that its new Warsaw II Logistics Centre has received its occupancy permit and leased a 6,000 sqm unit to Omida Group, one of the most recognisable TSL brands in Poland.

GLP announced the development of a new 37,000 sqm logistics centre in Upper Silesia, Poland. The 37,000 sqm unit marks the first phase of development and is part of a scheme to develop over 110,000 sqm of warehouse space in Ledziny, each with direct access to the S1 expressway.
