Torus to build city logistics warehouse in Gdynia

Vastint secures use permit for office building in Gdynia

Vastint Poland has received an occupancy permit for the K2 project in Gdynia. The office building, with a leasable area of ​​11,400 sqm, was built on Kielecka Street. It was designed to meet the criteria of the LEED environmental certification. Gdynia plans for another 20,000 inhabitants

The authorities of Gdynia state that the maximum amount of useable residential floor space that the city needs by 2045 could be as high as 11.29 million sqm. With this much space around 266,000 people could live in the city – currently, there are around 246,000. For the city's further development both public and private investment is needed. The restrictions imposed because of the pandemic have harmed both sectors. The city of Gdynia has announced that most of the planned investments will be completed, some will be delayed, and others are to be developed as PPP projects.

Vastint launches new phase of Gdynia mixed-use project

Vastint Poland has signed a contract with Budimex SA for general contracting services for the initial part of the second phase of the Waterfront complex in Gdynia. The planned investment will be built on Hryniewickiego Street, in the vicinity of Kościuszko Square, and will comprise the construction of four buildings totalling ​​45,000 sqm including underground garages. The general contractor plans to start construction in May of this year, with the investment scheduled for completion in 2023.

New leases

  • A fintech company has leased nearly 2,600 sqm of office space in the LIXA D building, which is being erected as part of an office complex near the Warsaw’s Daszyński Roundabout. The new tenant will occupy over 25% of the building’s commercial space.
  • Develia is moving its headquarters from Arkady Wrocławskie to the City Forum complex at 45 Traugutta Street in Wrocław at the beginning of March this year. It has leased around 1,400 sqm in the City 1 building. A new flat showroom of 280 sqm will also be opened on the ground floor. Develia's advisor in this process was the international company CBRE.
  • The District Labour Inspectorate in Gdańsk will move its headquarters to the Palio Office Park B office building located on the site of the Gdańsk Shipyard. The institution will rent more than 1.7 thousand sqm on two floors in the facility.

New appointments

  • Aleksander Loster has been appointed as Director in Savills Poland investment team, headed by Mark Richardson since 2023. In his new role, he will be responsible for working with international investment funds during the sale and acquisition of retail, industrial, warehouse and alternative assets.
  • Piotr Wilewski joined Walter Herz Investment Advisory Department as Land Acquisition Manager. He is responsible for acquiring land projects, preparing analyses of investment potential and searching for ways to build real estate value.
  • GTC Group appoints two people to head up its shopping centres in Poland Anna Borecka will take over as director of Galeria Jurajska in Kraków. Meanwhile, Marek Ciszewski will take the helm at Galeria Północna in Warsaw.
