The Gdynia City Logistics distribution centre, developed jointly by Torus and BTV, has been awarded BREEAM International New Construction V6 certification at the Excellent level, confirming its environmental and quality standards. The certification process was carried out by Sweco Polska, with Pekabex BET S.A. as the general contractor.

"Gdynia City Logistics shows how urban logistics can be innovative, efficient and environmentally friendly. Its central Tri-City location, technical standards and sustainable solutions confirmed by the BREEAM certification place the investment in line with global ESG trends," says Przemysław Ryś, CEO of Torus. "It is important to us that we have restored a significant place on the map of Gdynia to use. Now it has gained a new function and supports the growth of the local economy."

"Achieving the BREEAM Excellent certification for Gdynia City Logistics proves that a warehouse can be both functional and designed in a way that supports environmental goals. We implemented solutions from energy-efficient installations to a modern energy management system, which translates into user comfort and reduced operating costs," adds Tomasz Puch, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at BTV.

BREEAM is one of the world's most recognised building assessment methods, evaluating energy efficiency, water management, environmental impact, quality of the working environment, and innovation. The certification for Gdynia City Logistics marks another step in building a portfolio of modern, environmentally friendly facilities that meet the growing expectations of tenants and align with global ESG standards.
