Marera Real Estate Partners, a sister company of Marera Properties, has acquired the historical landmark of the publishing house BIGZ built in 1941. This monumental property spreads across over 40,000 sqm. With an investment of over €40 million, it will be turned into a modern business centre over an 18 month period of time. For project implementation, Marera Real Estate Partners is joining forces with Aleksandar gradnja, a company with proven expertise in residential development.
Imel Group has started the construction of the Green Escape business complex in New Belgrade’s block 51, right next to the highway. The complex will comprise three plots intended for business and commercial facilities, on which the construction of multifunctional business facilities is planned. The construction of the complex started in December last year, it will be performed in three phases and the total area of the planned facilities is 65,569 sqm.
The construction of two more residential buildings of the Belgrade Waterfront project has commenced. Roberts Construction and Millennium Team have been selected as main contractors for the BW Simfonija 1 and 2 buildings.
CTP is expanding its industrial park north of the Serbian capital, CTPark Belgrade North, following the purchase of a 28,500 sqm warehouse and adjacent land for further development from Austrian-based real estate developer Eyemaxx. As a result, the overall capacity of CTPark Belgrade North now stands at 50,000 sqm, with the landbank enabling to achieve about 115,000 sqm of leaseable space at the location.
IKEA plans to invest €50 million in the construction of a shopping park near Belgrade. The company plans to start the construction of the AVA Shopping Park in the beginning of 2021.
Croatia-based hotel group Arena Hospitality Group d.d.¸ through its local subsidiary has successfully completed the acquisition of Hotel 88 Rooms in Belgrade. The transaction value amounted to €5.95 million (HRK 45 million).
Delta Real Estate has secured the resources and the technical documentation for the construction of the Delta Center business complex in New Belgrade. The complex will include the 26,000 sqm Hotel InterContinental Beograd, in addition to 26,000 sqm of office space. The project will also include an exclusive shopping area and restaurants, as well as a large underground car park.
CTP welcomes Serbia’s leading electronics retailer, Tehnomanija, to Serbia’s largest industrial park, CTPark Belgrade North. The company has leased a newly built, 20,000 sq, logistics warehouse to support the large-scale expansion of its e-commerce activities.
AFI Europe Serbia is launching on the construction of the Skyline Omnia office tower on Belgrade’s Kneza Milosa. The project, worth €73 million, will see the completion of 132-metre high office tower with 31 floors, covering nearly 40,000 sqm.
Cushman & Wakefield Echinox moves its headquarters to the office building developed by businessman and former tennis player Ion Tiriac near Piata Victoriei in Bucharest. The company rented here a space between 300 and 500 sqm.
CBRE Romania will move from this summer to a new headquarters. The company rented almost one floor of One Tower, which has 1,400 sqm.
Furniture retailer Mobexpert leased 2,000 sqm of warehouses and offices in Constanța Business Park, developed by Global Vision and Globalworth. Following recent transactions, Constanța Business Park has reached an occupancy rate of 70%.

Olga Szczęsna has joined JLL Poland's Office Agency Department, where she has taken up the position of director. Olga will be responsible for the commercialization of buildings from the Patrizia portfolio, including N21, Metron and G9, as well as the Central Point building, currently under construction in the centre of Warsaw.

Ciprian Sîrbu has over 10 years of experience in logistics, e-commerce, and industrial supply chain, completed by 7 years in which he worked in the IT field.
