14 outlet centres operating in Poland eye the increasing competition which will force numerous of them to undergo qualitative changes, enhance their offer and improve operational performance. Along with increasing wealth of Polish consumers, the premium offer will grow in outlet centres, according to new report “Bargain hunting. Potential of outlet centres in Poland” released by Colliers International and IQS.
Colliers has been appointed by FID Group as the Property Manager of Slovanský Dům and by B.H.Centrum a.s. as the Property Manager of Millennium which forms part of the complex including the Marriott Hotel. Both buildings are prime mixed-use properties situated in the heart of Prague’s CBD.
With an impressive 66% growth of retail sales per capita since 2004, Poland stands second to none in Europe. Over the past five years both the retail stock and the retail sales have been growing steadily at the level of 20% cumulatively, according to an analysis released by Cushman & Wakefield. Forecasts for the next decade show a further 40% growth of retail spending per capita, which demonstrates growing affluence of the Polish society.
Plaza Centers N.V. announced that Belgrade Plaza opened to the public on 20 April. The completed centre is 97% let and expected to be fully leased in the coming months. Belgrade Plaza is the 34th shopping centre built by Plaza and its second scheme in Serbia.
From the beginning of April, BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland will take over the management of four IKEA Centers retail parks located in Poland on behalf of the landlord Pradera. The contract will increase the Polish portfolio of managed properties by more than 140,000 sqm. Ultimately, the international property management business line of BNP Paribas Real Estate will manage 25 properties in eight European countries.

HB Reavis has received the green light to start work this summer on Stanica Nivy, a new shopping centre and international bus station in Bratislava, after successfully gaining construction consent. The entire project is being financed by HB Reavis, representing a total investment volume of €345 million.
The EBRD is joining forces with Mid Europa Partners to strengthen Romanian supermarket and convenience chain Profi Rom Food S.R.L. by providing a €25 million equity investment. The ceremonial laying of the cornerstone for Ada Mall, GTC’s latest retail investment in Belgrade, was held on 6 March 2017. The opening of the 34,000-sqm mall is scheduled for autumn 2018.
A popular brand joins the ranks of tenants at Galeria Bemowo in Warsaw. The Tchibo shop opened on Thursday, February 2nd. The store, with an area of over 155 sq m, is located on the ground floor.
Emons is expanding its network of logistics centres in the Czech Republic. As of February 2023, Emons opens a new logistics centre in Ostředek, leasing over 6,000 sqm of warehouse space in the Sázava Logistics Park.
OmniOffice, a serviced office provider, is joining the tenants of Warsaw UNIT. The company has leased 3090 sqm of office space in a Ghelamco high-rise building in the Polish capital.
New appointments
Daniel Cateliu has been appointed as Director in the Industrial & Logistics department of real estate consultancy CBRE Romania. He is currently pursuing an EMBA at the University of Sheffield in the UK. Cateliu is a graduate of the Faculty of Political Sciences within the SNSPA, subsequently following a master's program and earning an Erasmus scholarship at the University of Trieste in Italy.
Oscar Kazanelson - the current Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ROBYG - has been appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Vantage Development. This is related to the decision to build synergies within the TAG Immobilien Group.
