Since August, UBM Development Czechia has been building and now selling the second phase of its residential project Arcus City in Prague-Reporyje. Within this phase, 63 apartments and several commercial units will be built. The completion of this phase is scheduled for the end of 2024. In total, over 270 apartments, 10 family houses and several commercial units will be built in the project in three phases.

The developer Sekyra Group must pay the city of Prague more than half a billion crowns (€22 million) for the construction of public spaces in its new residential project on Prague's Rohanský island, according to new rules for private investors. This is the highest contribution a developer has ever had to pay to the capital so far, Seznamzpravy.cz reports.  

Horia Ciorcilă, one of the founders of Banca Transilvania, Romania’s biggest lender by assets and Evergent Investments are jointly planning the development of a residential project in northern Bucharest.

Bratislava will become the 201st global city to have a skyscraper. It will happen this week while the development of Eurovea Tower will reach the 44th floor and get over the 150 metres level. The total high will be 168 metres and the completion of shell construction should be done by the end of this year, developer J&T Real Estate announced.

The construction of Park West 3 will start in the second half of 2022. It comprises 230 apartments in the renewed Ferdinánd quarter of the 13th District, and is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2025.

JRD Development completed its largest residential project in Prague's Strašnice district. 156 flats and 1320 sqm of commercial space were built in the energy-efficient complex of three buildings. The project, called Green Port Strašnice, has already been approved and is almost sold out, the developer announced.

Transactions of apartments and houses began to decline starting from the spring of this year, as a result of high energy costs, rising construction materials and fuel prices, in addition to the rising costs associated with mortgages, according to real estate consultancy Colliers. 

Duna House has released its monthly Transaction Estimate, showing that there were 9,748 residential property transactions in Hungary in August 2022. This marks an increase over July but a 14% drop compared to the number of transactions recorded last August.

Romanian company Impact Developer & Contractor recorded sales of 90.3 million lei (€18.5 million) for 110 residential units in the first half of 2022, up 45% compared to the same period of last year.  

As students are preparing to resume their university studies in person, asking rents in large cities have gone up by up to 10% by the end of August 2022 compared to the same period of last year, according to property platform Imobiliare.ro.
