Speedwell has appointed Răzvan Enache as Executive Director of Development in Romania. In his new role, he will coordinate development strategy, planning and stakeholder engagement, and contribute to identifying new opportunities in the Romanian market. The appointment coincides with the company advancing several complex projects in key Romanian cities, including TINO in Brașov, the regeneration of the former 1 IUNIE textile factory site in Timișoara, and the large-scale mixed-use project CityZen in Bucharest.

"Răzvan brings a combination that is particularly valuable to Speedwell: extensive development experience, strong technical understanding and a pragmatic approach to complex projects. I am confident these qualities will make a meaningful contribution to Speedwell's next stage of growth," said Yannick Van de Parre, Country Manager at Speedwell Romania.

Enache brings 25 years of experience in real estate and construction, spanning development, asset management and construction project management. Before joining Speedwell, he served as Managing Director of Țiriac Imobiliare, overseeing a diversified portfolio that included Țiriac Tower, Stejarii 2, and residential and retail projects in Timișoara and Brașov. He also held roles at Skanska Romania, where he contributed to the EQUILIBRIUM office project, and held senior positions within BCR, part of Erste Group, and Erste Group Immorent. He began his career in civil engineering and construction management.

Enache will oversee projects already under way, including QUEENS District, a mixed-use development in the Aviației area of Bucharest combining residential, Class A office and commercial functions; THE IVY, a residential complex near Băneasa Forest delivering over 800 apartments; GLENWOOD ESTATE in Corbeanca, comprising 209 homes; and PALTIM in Timișoara, a regeneration project on the site of a former hat factory incorporating residential, retail, green areas and restored heritage buildings. "Large-scale development today goes far beyond delivering buildings. It requires an understanding of how a project becomes part of a city, how it connects to infrastructure, responds to communities and creates value beyond its own boundaries. I look forward to bringing my experience to a team with a strong track record of turning this philosophy into reality," said Enache.

A central project within Speedwell's pipeline is CityZen, a large-scale urban regeneration scheme planned on approximately 11 hectares of the former Griro industrial platform on Calea Griviței in Bucharest. The development will combine residential, office, retail and service functions with green areas, public spaces and community facilities, while preserving elements of the site's industrial heritage. The company aims for CityZen to become Romania's first BREEAM Communities-certified development. Speedwell, which has Belgian roots and operates in Romania and Poland, has delivered approximately 160,000 sqm of office and retail space, over 5,500 apartments and 23,000 sqm of industrial space, with a total development value of around €2 billion.
