CTP has signed deals totalling 96,000 sqm at five of its logistics CTParks across the Czech Republic since the start of 2023. A range of factors including rising domestic consumption, strong economic growth and the trend for ‘nearshoring’ have led to multinationals continuing to expand their footprint in the country and the wider CEE region.

Panattoni continues to grow its portfolio of urban centres in Warsaw. The company has begun construction of City Logistics Warsaw IX next to the junction of ul. Utrata and ul. Zabraniecka in the city’s Targówek Fabryczny district, and the value of the investment will amount to €19 million. Half of the space is to be occupied by Inter-Mlecz, a distributor of some of the biggest grocery brands. The company is to move its current operations without disruption from a nearby location. 

Panattoni is developing a distribution centre for  ORBICO Supply – a logistics operator from the Orbico Polska group, responsible for the distribution of over 50 global brands. On completion the BTS centre in Teresin will have an area of 38,000 sqm.

Logistics operators accounted for approximately 50% of the Q1 2023 demand for industrial spaces in Romania which totaled 330,000 sqm, up 10% year-on-year, according to Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. 

Rohlig Suus Logistics has leased 20,393 sqm at MDC2 Park Gliwice, which will include 19,773 sqm of warehouse space and 420 sqm of office and social space. The total area of the 3 warehouse buildings in the park will exceed 57,000 sqm.

Belgian developer Speedwell has started the construction works for the second phase of development for SpacePlus West project, near Bucharest. The new development will have a leasable area of 7,000 sqm, while the whole project will reach 10,000 sqm. 

In Q1 2023, the Czech industrial real estate market hit record numbers and passed the 11 million sqm mark. The five-year average has broken when the total volume of newly completed industrial grew to 217,900 sqm, according to Colliers’ quarterly survey.

Peakside Capital Advisors has started construction of City Point Targówek, the largest logistics park in Warsaw. It will provide 100,000 sqm of modern and sustainable warehouse space in a prime location near the city centre. The warehouse park will seek top LEED and BREEM certification ratings, and it will also pursue WELL certification, which has never been awarded in this market segment before.

Czech logistics developer Logport Development has launched a new project in Prague's Jinočany area, at the former Poldi Kladno smelters, one of the largest brownfield sites in the Czech Republic.

CTP has pre-let over 25,400 sqm of logistics space to a German headquartered renewable energy developer, service and energy solutions provider, at CTPark Gdańsk Port, a major new sustainable logistics park that CTP is developing in Gdańsk, Poland.
