Regesta, a logistics services provider will lease 21,700 sqm of warehouse space in Panattoni Park Zgierz. Its central warehouse will support its four existing warehouses across Poland, with another two under construction. The tenant was advised on the transaction by real estate advisory firm Newmark Polska.

With a history spanning nearly 30 years and approximately 700 employees, Regesta specializes in transportation by road, sea and rail, focusing on the use of coil-mulde semi-trailers. It has a fleet of 330 tractor units and 380 semi-trailers, but also cooperates with contract hauliers operating over 200 semi-trailer trucks.

“We effectively pursue our growth plan in Poland. Following our successes in northern and southern Poland, we decided to start operations in central Poland. This will open up new opportunities for us and act as a link for our operations in Silesia, Tricity and Kraków”, says Marcin Szostak, COO of Regesta. “Clients appreciate us for our fast-paced operations and for our response to their needs. The warehouse in Central Poland will be an ideal transhipment hub and an additional storage location in the high season. This will mark another milestone in our development of contract logistics which is crucial to the growth of our entire group. As the warehouse in Zgierz will reach nearly full capacity this year, we will lease almost 6,000 sqm of additional space in the same building in the second quarter of 2024”, adds Marcin Szostak.

“Availability of a large unit for almost immediate occupancy in a prime location was a big plus for our client. Panattoni has once again demonstrated that it is a perfect partner in growth in central Poland. The location of Panattoni Park Zgierz just under 3 km from the A2 motorway, which is part of a key pan-European transport corridor, provides its tenants with a competitive advantage. We are delighted that Regesta will be able to benefit from the great potential of the park. The company is an important client for us and we are pleased to see our cooperation in Poland grow at lightning speed”, says Jakub Kaczorek, Leasing Manager, Panattoni.

“We are proud to be able to assist Regesta in delivering its bold strategy. Each phase is an enormous challenge, so we select the most flexible partners who are able to offer, for instance, an additional storage yard for storing less sensitive goods under a shelter”, says Janusz Dudek, Senior Advisor, Newmark Polska. “This year alone, Regesta has leased a total of approximately 108,000 sqm of warehouse space and is planning to expand further.”

Panattoni Park Zgierz is located an hour and a half drive from Warsaw and a 40-minute drive from Łódź. The Czech border is just under three hours away and Berlin is just over four and a half hours away. At full build-out it, the project will provide more than 100,000 sqm of sustainable BREEAM Excellent certified space. The complex also features green areas near its buildings and an electric vehicle charging station.
