After nearly 16 years, the site of the unsuccessful “Żubr” housing estate project in Podłęże near Kraków is back in use and changing its purpose. The new plan for the site is an international logistics service centre. MCG EastBridge, a new company within the Maszoński Logistic Group, has already begun operations in the region, Axi Immo reports.

Savills has negotiated a pre-lease of warehouse space for Flosman, a Czech company engaged in the retail and wholesale of food and pharmaceuticals. The lease covers 8,000 sqm of warehouse and almost 600 sqm of office space in the CSPPark Planá NL project (in Southern Bohemia). The hall is planned to be operational in the third quarter of 2024. 

ČEZ Esco and CTP have launched a strategic cooperation in the field of modern energy and renewable energy. They intend to equip the roofs of selected CTP parks with photovoltaic power plants in the coming years. The first joint photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 2 MW has already been built in CTPark Prague East in Nupaki near Prague on the roofs of the halls where the logistics company Raben is located. A test run of this rooftop PV system is currently underway. New power plants are also being built at CTParks in Chrášt'any near Prague, Hradec Králové, Brno, Ostrava and Cerhovice near Hořovice. The companies are considering extending their cooperation to other areas of modern energy.

The Hungarian subsidiary of Panattoni Group has agreed to build a 32,000 sqm logistics centre for a large retail operator in a BTS project. The new facility will be built in the suburbs of Budapest and is scheduled to open in September 2025.

Panattoni has completed a logistics centre for DHL Parcel. The 32,000 sqm centre in Robakowo is going to be the developer’s third industrial development in Poland to be awarded a BREEAM certification rating of Outstanding.

Gdańsk-based developer Torus Logistics has announced the acquisition of a building permit for its new initiative, Gdynia City Logistics which will be developed in in partnership with BTV, a boutique asset and development management company specialising in logistics real estate.

Industrial and logistics developer VGP has leased 10,000 sqm in VGP Park Arad project to Romanian courier company FAN Courier. Following the latest lease deal, the industrial project has reached full occupancy for its first building.

French HVAC supplier Groupe Atlantic will open its first Romanian manufacturing plant within the PWP Bucharest North project owned by Alinso in Ploiești. The group will invest around €60 million in the new facility that will be developed on a land plot of 145,000 sqm.

Panattoni is expanding its portfolio within the boundaries of Łódź. The developer has started the construction of the first hall within Panattoni Park Łódź West II, which will occupy 70,630 square meters. Almost half of this space will be taken up by Rohlig SUUS Logistics.

CTP has so far concluded lease deals with a total area of over 400,000 sqm for space in industrial properties in the Czech Republic in 2023, including more than 10 lease contracts for premises larger than 10,000 sqm. The largest transaction was a contract to renew the lease of almost 54,000 sqm of space in CTPark Bor. The developer continues to build new industrial space across the Czech Republic and is confident that the Czech industrial property market will continue to grow.
