Panattoni Europe has completed the construction of another e-commerce logistics centre for Amazon. The facility with total useful floor area of 161,500 sqm was erected in Kołbaskowo, near Szczecin. More than 3,000 robots have been put in place to support the employees, using Amazon Robotics technology. The investment was developed to comply with the requirements of BREEAM environmental certification.

Panattoni Europe has completed stage one in the construction of a distribution centre for Castorama Polska. The developer has delivered 50,000 sqm out of 100,000 planned. One of the largest investments in Poland is going up in Stryków and it will provide logistics support which will enable the leading DIY/home improvement chain in Poland to go further towards fulfilling its fundamental commitment to customers – to provide them with the best possible product availability at attractive prices. The official opening of this section of the facility took place on 16 November 2017.

P3 has signed a deal with FM Logistic to be the first occupier at its new park in Lovosice, close to the borders with Germany and Poland in the north of the Czech Republic. The French logistics company is already a well-established P3 customer, with build-to-suit warehouses at P3 Prague D11 park and on two P3 parks in Poland completed earlier this year. It also occupies space on P3 parks in Romania.

Q3 2017 saw the delivery of 875,000 sqm of new space on the industrial market in Poland. In the same period, approximately 630,000 sqm was leased. JLL summarised the industrial market in Poland at the end of Q3 2017.

A second building is under construction at the Páty industrial park right after the handover of the first facility. This time Inpark develops a built-to-suit, energy efficient warehouse to leading electronics retailer Euronics, with a total budget exceeding €8 million (HUF 2.5 billion), to be delivered next spring.

Poland’s warehouse supply hit a record high at the end of Q3 2017. The industrial stock totalled 12.86 million sqm, which represented an 18% rise year-on-year. Tenant demand remained robust on the country’s core warehouse markets, driven largely by logistics operators whose share in total take-up amounted to 45%. The vacancy rate slipped down by 0.8 percentage points year-on-year while headline and effective rents remained largely unchanged, reveals Cushman & Wakefield.

Real estate developer Zacaria announced the expansion of Western Industrial Park in Oradea with a new warehouse of more than 6,300 sqm, already commissioned by a German tenant in the process of opening its first subsidiary in Romania.

Goodman has begun construction of a modern warehouse of over 32,000 sqm for BMW Group in Świecko, Poland. The facility will be a logistics centre for replacement parts to serve the Polish and East German market. It will be Goodman’s first development for BMW Group in Poland, and its fourth project for the automotive giant in Continental Europe.

Demand on Romania's industrial and logistics market reached 456,000 square meters in the first nine months of 2017, close to the level recorded for the whole last year when it cumulated 463,000 square meters, according to JLL:

CTP Group, Allianz Group and ING Bank have signed a new €160 million syndicate loan for the financing of a portfolio of industrial properties in the Czech Republic. This loan serves both to refinance existing loans from a group of CEE banks and to finance new projects which have been completed in 2017. The refinancing with Allianz and ING is part of CTP´s ongoing strategy to extend its network of financing partners, including seeking partners outside the CEE region.
