Hillwood has started the development of a logistics park in Piekary Śląskie, near Bytom in Poland’s Upper Silesia region. Hillwood Piekary Śląskie, comprising more than 42,000 sqm, will be ready for use in Q4 2020. This is Hillwood’s third project in the Silesian province since the beginning of the year.

“Upper Silesia is the second most popular warehouse market in the country after the Warsaw area. The region’s advantage is primarily its strategic location as well as its excellent road infrastructure and access to other parts of Poland and Europe as a whole, which in turn represents a significant reduction in transport costs. Hillwood has been active in Silesia almost since the beginning of our operations in Poland. By the end of 2020, the modern warehouse space we will have built in Upper Silesia and in the Dąbrowa Basin will reach almost 220,000 sqm. In the first quarter of this year, we also started the construction of warehouses in Gliwice and Mysłowice with a combined area of more than 52,000 sqm,” comments Hubert Michalak, CEO of Hillwood Poland.
