Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park has welcomed DP World as the logistics operator for BMW Group's new distribution centre in Mošnov. The built-to-suit facility, developed by Gridarch, is scheduled for completion in summer 2026, with DP World already beginning recruitment for logistics positions.
The third phase of the multimodal park comprises 123,000 sqm across three halls dedicated to BMW Group's overseas distribution operations. Construction began in January 2025 and will be completed by July 2026, with the distribution centre becoming operational by the end of that year.
Robert Sgariboldi, Country Manager of DP World Czech Republic, said: "We are proud that BMW Group has entrusted DP World with managing logistics operations in its new Ostrava facility. Our global expertise in integrated supply chain solutions, combined with the strategic position of the Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park will allow us to support BMW Group's international distribution efficiently."
The Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park has established itself as a Central European logistics hub serving the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia. The park currently comprises 300,000 sqm of industrial space across multiple phases, with the total area expected to exceed 550,000 sqm in coming years.
Tomáš Novotný, CEO of Gridarch, noted that BMW Group's decision to appoint DP World confirms the strategic importance of the location. The park's unique combination of air, road and rail transport connectivity has attracted leading logistics and manufacturing companies since the first halls were completed in 2020.
