Romanian office developer Genesis Property has obtained Breeam Outstanding certification for the DE building in Bucharest-based Yunity Park. The certification was awarded for both asset performance (6 stars, 85.9%) and management (6 stars, 89.4%).
The certified building spans nearly 31,000 sqm and features energy-efficient infrastructure, intelligent resource management, high indoor air quality, and facilities supporting sustainable mobility and employee well-being.
"We continuously invest in efficient and sustainable buildings, but above all in spaces that support people's health, comfort, and performance," said Ionel Purice, CEO of Genesis Property.
By 2030, Genesis Property aims to obtain Breeam Outstanding certification for all buildings in its portfolio. The company monitors indoor air quality across all buildings and invests in BMS systems and IoT solutions for monitoring and optimising building performance. These systems track ventilation, temperature, humidity, CO₂ levels, energy and water consumption in real time.
Genesis Property prioritises construction materials with reduced environmental impact, including sustainable flooring, low-emission materials, durable finishes, and solutions enabling disassembly and reuse at end of lifecycle. ADP green building serves as a sustainability consultant, contributing to Breeam certifications and energy efficiency improvements.
