CTP has completed one of the largest production halls at CTPark Blučina in South Moravia. The new 52,000 sqm GLA facility has been designed to offer almost 30,000 sqm of cleanroom space for the production of specialised chips for the automotive industry.
The hall was leased by Inventec (Czech), a subsidiary of Inventec Corporation, based in Taiwan. The server and IT products manufacturer will centralise its European activities here from the beginning of 2025. The project reflects the growing trend of moving production back to Europe, as international companies seek facilities closer to their customers, with lower supply chain risks and greater flexibility. Today, 20% of all new CTP leases in the region are to Asian clients, compared to 7.5% in 2018.
The new hall includes approximately 30,000 sqm of high-tech cleanroom space with precisely controlled temperature, humidity and air purity. These spaces will enable the production of specialised chips for the automotive industry, in addition to servers and other IT products.
John Busby, statutory executive director of Inventec Czech, considers the move to the new hall in Blučina a new stage of growth in Europe: “The new building includes innovative, tailor-made spaces and meets high ESG standards. From here, we will manage our European production and provide customers with faster and more efficient services,” he said.
“The project for Inventec is one of the largest that we have implemented in the Czech Republic, and at the same time, it was one of the most demanding. The client had technical requirements for large clean rooms with a precisely controlled environment,” added Jakub Kodr, Managing Director at CTP for the Czech Republic.
The new facility is aiming for BREEAM Very Good certification. The building has a network of heat pumps, the roof will soon be equipped with photovoltaic panels, and it also includes charging stations for electric vehicles.
The new hall BLU3 is part of the wider development of CTPark Blučina. Construction of another 38,000 sqm building, BLU4, has already begun on the site, which is scheduled for completion in August 2026 and is already partially leased.
