Cresco Real Estate has received the green light for its project at the Bratislava waterfront. The redevelopment of the site previously housing the city's cultural centre has been on the table since at least the beginning of the 21st century, reports yimba.sk.

Approximately ten years ago, demolition of the former Park of Culture and Leisure (PKO) commenced. The developer Henbury Development (now known as WOAL), a joint venture of Cresco Real Estate and JTRE, is expected to start implementing a new mixed-use project in the foreseeable future.

The western part of the area is controlled by Cresco Real Estate, and the eastern part, closer to River Park, by JTRE. The building permit for the western part, communicated as Q by Cresco, was issued only a few days ago. Although it is not yet legally valid, Cresco Real Estate has finally received the green light to build a mixed-use complex that will change the face of Bratislava's left-bank waterfront.

At this point, it is already known that Q will be a high-end residential complex with 95 apartments and 161 suites designed by Bogle Architects. Sales are expected to begin after the building permit becomes valid.
