Alto Real Estate is taking over the full operation of the coworking and event concept in Jurkovičova Teplareň. The developer and owner of this national cultural monument will continue developing the model under its own brand, Jurkovičova Teplareň. The brand has a strong reputation in Bratislava and reflects the character of the place: industrial architecture combined with the modern urban environment of the Sky Park district. The concept links three functions – flexible offices, coworking and event spaces.
For existing and future clients, the transformation brings continuity and further development. The change in management model has no impact on the daily running of the building. The fact that Alto Real Estate is the direct owner of the monument removes intermediaries in management, creating conditions for improving services and supporting clients directly.
"Jurkovičova Teplareň is the heart of the whole downtown, and we are proud of it. Very few historical monuments have been preserved this way. Our priority is to maintain the continuity of the environment, atmosphere and quality of services that current clients are used to, and to move the concept further. We plan to expand these capacities to other floors of the building," says Christián Gálik, Head of Leasing at Alto Real Estate.
Jurkovičova Teplareň is among the projects converting industrial heritage in Central Europe. As a national cultural monument, it is one of the last surviving buildings of the Apollo refinery. Through careful renovation, the original industrial site has become part of Bratislava's new centre.
Today it functions as a cultural and social hub, forming a historical contrast to the surrounding residential and office buildings of the Sky Park project by Zaha Hadid Architects. The building has retained its original industrial elements and offers an art café with a gallery, a restaurant and good accessibility across the district.
